The Rafale crossover SUV will be based on the CMF-CD platform and feature E-Tech Hybrid powertrains. It will fall into the D-segment SUV category in Europe and will be under 5 meters long. This Renault SUV will face competition from renowned rivals such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Volvo XC60.
Based on the teaser, the Rafale will have a coupe-like crossover design with a sloping roofline, deviating from the typical upright-design SUVs in its segment. The roof spoiler, finished in red, adds a sporty touch to the design and draws comparisons to the Porsche Macan, one of its primary rivals. The silhouette of the vehicle showcases some German design influences, particularly at the point where the upper window line and belt line meet. The body panels feature European-style cuts and creases.
The teaser also reveals interesting LED elements at the front, with the possibility of having DRL (Daytime Running Lights) at the top and headlights positioned below. The LED taillights are expected to have a connected design with a sleek light bar in the middle.
